In the coatings of color-coated steel sheets, resins and pigments play a role in durability. Commonly used topcoats are polyester, silicon-modified polyester, high-weather-resistant polyester, and polyvinylidene fluoride.
1. Polyester color-coated steel sheets (PE color-coated steel sheets): good adhesion, rich colors, wide range of formability and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance, and low cost.
2. Silicon-modified color-coated steel sheets (SMP color-coated steel sheets): Silicon-modified polyester color-coated steel sheets, referred to as SMP color-coated steel sheets, can also be called wear-resistant polyester topcoat or wear-resistant color-coated steel sheets. They use a high-resistance nano-siliconized resin formula. SMP silicon-modified has excellent heat resistance and good wear resistance.

3. Polyvinylidene fluoride color steel plates (fluorocarbon color steel plates, PVDF color steel plates): PVDF fluorocarbon coatings are first-class products among existing architectural coatings. The coatings use a proprietary formula, and PVDF coating suppliers have KYNAR500 and HYLAR5000 coating certification qualifications. These two brands are two world-famous PVDF manufacturers. The PVDF coatings produced by certified coating units must contain at least 70% PVDF resin (mass ratio). In order to ensure that fluorocarbon coatings have extremely high weather resistance, the pigments used in PVDF coatings can only be high-temperature calcined metal oxides or metal oxide alloy pigments, namely ceramic pigments; weather-resistant rutile titanium dioxide; acid-resistant and alkali-resistant metal pigments and durable mica pearlescent pigments. Shandong Jiacheng must use hot-dip galvanized substrates with a single-sided zinc coating greater than 90 grams/square meter or hot-dip aluminum-zinc substrates with a single-sided aluminum-zinc coating weight greater than 75 grams/square meter when producing fluorocarbon color-coated steel plates. Primer matching: Use polyurethane or polyester primer (epoxy primer cannot match PVDF coating due to its relatively low weather resistance).
